Honey Pound Cake
Hey Honey, attending a Thanksgiving party this week? Don’t show up empty handed! This Honey Pound Cake is sure to have people coming back for seconds. This incredible (and easy!) recipe from Country Living is a great way to stray from the typical pumpkin-themed recipes. It just may a new holiday favorite and it includes our all-time favorite ingredient… HONEY.
- 1 c. butter
- 1⅓ c. sugar
- ¼ c. Honey
- 5 large eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1¾ c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- ½ tsp. salt
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Lightly oil a 6-cup loaf pan.
- Beat the butter, sugar, and honey together using a mixer set on high until very light and fluffy–about 3 minutes. Beat in the eggs, one at a time. Add the vanilla extract. Add the flour, baking powder, and salt and beat until smooth.
- Spoon into the prepared pan and bake until a skewer inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean–about 1 hour. Cool 15 minutes before unmolding.
This recipe serves 10 and takes roughly an hour to make! Your taste buds will thank you, honey.
