Do I Need to Change My Skin Care to Winter Skin Care?

Do I Need to Change My Skin Care to Winter Skin Care? - Hey Honey Beauty

The short answer is YES and... NO, complicated right? So that's why we've made it simple for you.

Winter dry skin or summer oily, your skin changes with the seasons, and so does it’s ability to absorb all the goodness you apply with skincare products. During winter time, for example, your skin surrenders to the harsh, cold weather and drop in humidity leaving your skin desperate for more, much more, hydration. While your summer skin will probably ask for less as it releases more sebum (skin oil) to balance itself as humidity rises. So yes, you should treat your skin with different routines to see any effect on your skin.

ENTER HEY HONEY

As our Founder and brand creator Katerina always say "Life is way too complicated, skincare shouldn't be..." we aim to keep it simple, here at Hey Honey we've created unique products that self-adjust based on your skin’s particular, everyday needs. You don’t have to give up your favorite products as the weather changes if they are formulated to adapt.

In our world, we removed the word “seasonal products” from our vocabulary.
Our products automatically adjust based on your skin’s need. Maybe one day your skin feels dry and flakey and the next it feels oily and congested. Our products are able to assess and cure the problem at its source.

Hey Honey offers a wide variety of clean winter skin care products. We are formulated to be fast acting, long lasting, multi-tasking and (most importantly) self-adjusting. Our entire skincare range allows you to stick with one line of effective products rather than swapping out season to season.

While we don’t believe in seasonal products, we do incorporate “seasonal” ingredients into our formulas to ensure you have the best results all year round.

What are the best winter skin care ingredients?

The core four: Honey, Squalene, Lactic Acid and Echinacea. These ingredients hydrate, exfoliate, and protect the skin from environmental damage. Here are some of our favorite winter skincare products.

Ingredient #1: Honey

Honey is especially great in the winter because it hydrates and protects the skin barrier. Additionally, Honey provides a lot of natural antioxidants into the skin. There is a reason why the world’s most beautiful woman in history, Cleopatra, used Honey in her daily routine.

Good Morning Honey Silk Facial Serum

Serums may come in little bottles, but boy are they mighty. Good Morning Honey Silk Facial Serum features a rich and potent blend of Honey, Silk Amino Acids, Sea Buckthorn Oil, and Vitamin E to keep skin hydrated and nourished all day long. In a consumer study, 87% of participants agreed the overall appearance of their skin has visibly improved. An added benefit for those busy (or lazy) mornings— Good Morning Honey Silk Facial Serum can be worn by itself, under a day cream, or as a primer under foundation. Whether you are heading back to an office or school, or just trying to look vibrant on your Zoom calls, Good Morning Honey Silk Facial Serum does the work for you.

Ingredient #2: Squalene

Squalene and Squalane are naturally occurring oils in our body and essential for our skin. These plant-derived oils are what your skin needs to stay hydrated and replenished. As PETA’s Cruelty-Free partner, we use plant-derived Squalene in our formulas.

Show Your Glow Colloidal Gold & Honey Beauty Mask

Squalene is a key ingredient in Hey Honey’s Show Your Glow Colloidal Gold & Honey Beauty Mask, which helps to hydrate the skin, giving you that “natural glow from within” you usually have during the Summer time. Combined with Colloidal Gold this mask brings instant radiance to your skin. Our favorite way to use this product is by mixing it into Love Your Body Honey Body Moisturizing Lotion for an all over glow.

Ingredient #3: Lactic Acid

Don’t be afraid of the word “acid” this will not cause your face any harm. The opposite actually! Lactic acid is a gentle alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that exfoliates and hydrates the skin. Through this gentle exfoliation collagen production increases and skin looks more radiant.

Relax Propolis & Honey Soothing Moisturizer

Our Relax Propolis & Honey Soothing Moisturizer is formulated with Lactic Acid, Propolis and Honeysuckle. A powerful combination for all skin types, especially compromised skin. Maybe you got one too many sunburns during the Summer? Apply Relax to help decrease inflammation, soothe irritation and boost collagen production. It is a go to solution for helping skin “weather” the changing season.

Ingredient # 4: Echinacea

An incredible flower that supports your immune system, provides antioxidants, and decreases inflammation. Cold, dry air can wreak havoc on your skin so Fall is the time to incorporate Echinacea into your skincare routine if you have not already.

Tone It Up Propolis & Echinacea Toner

This step is more important than ever to keep skin balanced and hydrated, especially since staying in artificially heated environments takes a toll on skin. Our Tone It Up Propolis & Echinacea Toner combines the immunity boosting powers of Echinacea with the anti-bacterial powers of Propolis. Just one swipe of this toner a day can keep your skin looking calm, cool and collected even if you aren’t.

In conclusion, all we can say is that the best Winter skin care is a consistent skincare routine that works for you.
