The Importance of Manual Exfoliation

The Importance of Manual Exfoliation - Hey Honey Beauty

Hey Honey, did you know that no matter how well you take care of your skin if you aren’t regularly exfoliating it’s not as glowing as it could be?

Personally, I’ve always been great about wearing sunscreen, washing my face, removing my makeup, and using moisturizers and serums. I thought I was following all the necessary skin care rules but still struggled with stubborn adult acne. It wasn’t until I discovered the wonders of exfoliation that my skin truly reached it’s potential! Not only has the acne diminished but I now have a noticeable brightness to my face that wasn’t there before.

Regular exfoliation is now a key element in my skincare routine! Here are a few things to remember when exfoliating:

  1. Manual exfoliation is when dead skin cells are removed from the surface of the skin. A scrub, such as the Hey Honey Come Clean Propolis & Minerals Facial Scrub, should be used 1-3 times a week, depending on the needs of your skin. In addition to the crystalline beads, the propolis in this particular scrub works as an antibacterial boost to the process and promotes the natural regeneration of skin cells.

  2. The older we get, the more slowly our skin cells start to regenerate. Old skin cells can build up on your skin, leaving it dry, rough, and dull. The buildup of these skin cells can also lead to clogged pores, which can cause unwanted acne.

  3. When the skin is exfoliated regularly, moisturizers can do their job more effectively by fully penetrating the skin.

  4. Decide how often to exfoliate based on the sensitivity and condition of your skin. Over-exfoliating can lead to damage, irritation, or dryness – just listen to your skin! But regular exfoliation is a must for glowing healthy skin.

There is no need to hide behind dull skin anymore, honey!
